Renewing a British passport while living in Spain can be straightforward, but the online application, digital photograph, supporting documents and secure shipping can make the process feel more complicated than it needs to be.

Standard adult passport renewal

We help you complete the online application, check the digital photograph and documentation requirements, and prepare your current passport and any supporting documents for secure shipment to HM Passport Office in the UK.
Children, name changes and non-standard applications
In-store assistance: €100
Applications for children, changes of name and other non-standard circumstances require additional steps, identification and supporting documents.
Remote assistance
If you cannot visit Collect Corner, we can assist you remotely and coordinate the shipment through a DHL service point near you.
A €25 remote-service surcharge applies:
- Standard adult renewal: €75
- Child, name change or non-standard application: €125

You are very welcome to complete your passport application yourself and use only the services you need from Collect Corner.
Receiving your passport at Collect Corner
If you are based in or around Sotogrande, you can choose to have your new passport delivered securely to us. Many clients travel to us from Marbella, Estepona, Casares, Algeciras and Tarifa to use this service.
The fee is €25. Once payment has been received, we will provide the specific version of our address that must be entered on your passport application.
Collect Corner subscribers pay only €5 for the required letter confirming their Spanish address and confirming that Collect Corner accepts responsibility for receiving the passport at our address.
Please note that HM Passport Office may return your new passport and supporting documents separately.
If you are a dual national, HM Passport Office requires a full colour copy of your other current passport, including every page and all blank pages.
If you visit us in-store, we can prepare these copies for you. The cost is €1 per printed sheet, with two passport pages copied onto each sheet.
If you are using our remote service and will not be visiting Collect Corner, you will need to arrange these colour copies yourself before sending your documentation.
Sending your documents to HM Passport Office
You may also wish to use Collect Corner to send your current passport and any supporting documentation requested by HM Passport Office.
Simply send us your PEX application reference number and we will prepare your DHL Express shipment to the UK. DHL shipping is charged separately.
Digital passport photographs
Online passport applications require a suitable digital photograph. We can recommend a local photographer in Sotogrande who is familiar with the requirements for British passport photographs.
Additional costs
Collect Corner’s assistance fee does not include:
- The HM Passport Office application fee
- HM Passport Office international delivery charges
- DHL Express shipping to the UK
- Any additional documents or photographs required
Current HM Passport Office online fees for overseas applications are:
- Adult standard passport: £116.50
- Child standard passport: £75.50
- International delivery: £14.32 per delivery
DHL Express shipping to HM Passport Office is usually approximately €55, depending on the shipment.
HM Passport Office fees are paid directly during the online application and may change.
